Amber Lynn Steigerwalt, 20, and Jacob Gordon Wertman, 24, both of Lehighton, were sentenced today on charges they plotted to kill his grandmother.

 Wertman was sentenced to state prison for a total of 60 to 144 months. Steigerwalt was sentenced for 54 to 120 months.The two previously entered guilty pleas in the case - Steigerwalt to one count of aggravated assault and Wertman to criminal conspiracy to commit aggravated assault. The incident occurred on Sept. 24, 2012, in East Penn Township. Wertman's grandmother, Marge Wertman, Ashfield, was the victim.
