A teenaged girl was charged with possession of weapons on school property after a classmate told a teacher the girl had a two-inch pocketknife on a keychain.

The unidentified girl, 16, of Tremont, had the pocketknife attached to her purse, according to state police at Schuylkill Haven.The incident happened at 12:30 p.m. Jan. 16 at Schuylkill IU 29, Marlin, Norwegian Township.The charges were referred to the Schuylkill County Juvenile Probation office.
