County approves personnel moves

Carbon County Commissioners approved a number of personnel moves last week.

They included shifting two positions in the district attorney's office.District Attorney Gary Dobias explained the move between Jean A. Engler of Jim Thorpe from second to first assistant district attorney and William E. McDonald of New Ringgold, from first to second assistant district attorney was because of the increase in caseloads and the available time between the pair.Dobias noted that McDonald has an active practice outside the district attorney's office, while Engler has more available time to take on the cases. He added that in addition to the shift in positions, the commissioners also approved the creation of another full-time assistant district attorney position earlier this month.
