A student at the Schuylkill Intermediate Unit 29 school at 17 Maple Ave., Norwegian Township, has been cited.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said the incident occurred about 9:05 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17. Troopers said a 16-year-old male from Mahanoy City picked up a desk and threw it in a classroom full of other students. No one was injured. The desk is valued at $75.The student was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.
