State police report on Monroe crashes

State police at Fern Ridge reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers along Monroe County roads.

A crash occurred about 2:21 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11, along Interstate 80 in Tunkhannock Township. Anthony L. Cangemi, 24, of Bangor, was driving a 2008 Toyota TC eastbound when he lost control. Troopers said it was raining at the time. The vehicle went onto the berm and struck a ditch in the center median.Cangemi was not injured but damages were disabling to the vehicle.A crash was reported at 9:12 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 13, along Evergreen Hollow Road in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said Carolyn Ertle, 45, of Saylorsburg, was driving a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer westbound when she lost control due to icy road conditions. The Blazer went onto the berm and struck an embankment causing it to roll over multiple times before coming to rest in the eastbound lane.Ertle was injured and taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for treatment. The Blazer had to be towed from the scene.Troopers cited Ertle for driving on roadways laned for traffic.A one-vehicle crash occurred about 11:50 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 14, along Brian Lane in Chestnuthill Township. Donna M. Goldpaugh, 64, of Mount Pocono, was driving a 2004 Volkswagen Jetta southbound when she failed to negotiate a left curve. The car went onto the berm and struck a traffic sign, rock and a tree before coming to rest.Goldpaugh sustained a minor injury and was treated at the scene by West End ambulance personnel. The car had to be towed from the scene.Goldpaugh was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
