State police at Frackville reported investigating a head-on crash that occurred along Interstate 81 in Kline Township, Schuylkill County, on Wednesday, Jan. 15, about 12:05 p.m.

Troopers said Louise J. Bauer, 50, of Mahanoy City, was driving a 1998 Ford Taurus northbound when she swerved into the median for a truck that had cut in front of her.The Taurus traveled through the median and into the southbound lanes where it collided head-on with a 2013 Audi A6 driven by Robert E. Ragan, 69, of Jamesville, N.Y. Troopers said Michael Wheelock, 56, of Clarkesville, Tenn., driving a 2012 Kenworth tractor with trailer, was behind Ragan, and his rig scraped the Taurus before coming to a stop.A passenger with Bauer, Mark Keeth, 35, of Mahanoy City, was injured and taken to Hazleton General Hospital, by McAdoo ambulance. Bauer and another passenger, Kathleen Keeth, 33, of Mahanoy City, Ragan, and Wheelock, were all not injured.The Taurus and Audi had to be towed from the scene.
