A Schuylkill County woman was jailed on Monday, Jan. 13, following a domestic incident. State police at Frackville said the incident occurred at 10 Kaska St., in Middleport.

Troopers responded to the residence about 8:10 p.m. to a report of a domestic disturbance. On scene troopers discovered that Stacey Lynn Leatherwood, of that address, had struck Jamie McClure, also of that address, on the head with a glass beer bottle causing a large cut to his face.Leatherwood was arrested and charged with simple assault and harassment. She was arraigned by on-call District Judge James Reiley, of Pottsville, and committed to the county prison after failing to post 10 percent of $10,000 bail.Troopers said McClure was issued a nontraffic citation for harassment. The police report did not indicate if McClure required medical treatment for his injury.Troopers added that the investigation is continuing and additional charges may be filed.
