Girard is a perfect 14-0 this season, picking up five wins by fall and one by major decision. Only two of his victories have come by forfeit. Neff had an impressive showing last week, going 7-0 at 106 pounds to join the group from 113 a week ago. The freshman earned five wins by forfeit, but picked up an overtime victory against East Stroudsburg South's Nate Caraballo and a pin over Pine Grove's Quentin Wolfe. Rex went 2-1 a week ago, while Wehr went 1-1. With Northwestern scheduled to wrestle Northern Lehigh Monday night, the picture could become much clearer in terms of where the two stand at this point in the season.113 - 1. McHugh moves from 120 pounds last week to 113 in this week's rankings after going 4-1 at the weight a week ago. McHugh picked up a tech. fall over North Schuylkill's Owen Boyer early last week, then went 3-1 at the Susquehannock Warrior Invitational Tournament on Saturday to take third place. Kemmerer went 7-0 last week, including 5-0 at the Indian Duals over the weekend. The Indians' sophomore went 4-0 at 113 pounds and 3-0 at 120. Dengler picked up a 4-1 decision win over Bangor's Gavin DeBoer in his only match last week, while Jacobi suffered a defeat by fall to Pocono Mountain West's Greg Sheppard in his only bout last week.120 - 1. Kenny Yanovich, Pleasant Valley, Sr. (16-2); 2. Darren Goida, Panther Valley, So. (11-5); 3. Quentin Bernhard, Northwestern, So. (13-7).Honorable Mention - Antonio Lorenzo, Lehighton, Fr. (9-7).Notes - Yanovich picked up a forfeit win against Pocono Mountain West in his only match last week. Goida lost his only bout to Tri-Valley's Caleb Bordner by a 7-1 decision. Bordner is 16-2 this season. Bernhard won his only match last week, defeating Bangor's Blake McNew by an 8-1 decision. Lorenzo went 7-0 last week and 5-0 at the Indian Duals. The freshman's performance over the weekend was especially impressive, as Lorenzo picked up two tech. falls and a pin on Saturday. Lorenzo went 4-0 at 113 pounds last week and 3-0 at 120, so his position in the rankings will fluctuate depending where he settles in the lineup over the next few weeks.126 - 1. Schmall went 2-1, picking up pins in his two victories. Schmall's 8-2 decision setback came to Southern Lehigh's Kyle Gorant, who is 12-0 this season. Durishin went 3-4 last week, earning all three wins by fall. White has been wrestling well this season, especially when considering that he is moving up a weight class. The sophomore went 2-0 last week, picking up an 8-2 decision over Palmerton's Daniel Russo and an 11-2 major decision against Bangor's Jesse Rocco.132 - 1. Dylan Rynkiewicz, Tamaqua, Jr. (17-2); 2. Ali Capobianco, Jim Thorpe, So. (14-2); 3. Ryan Farber, Northern Lehigh, Fr. (12-6).Honrable Mention - Andrew Ringler, Palmerton, Fr. (6-4).Notes - Rynkiewicz went 4-0 last week, and 3-0 at the Susquehannock Warrior Invitational. Three of the junior's wins were by fall, and the other came in overtime to Susquehannock's Colin Riley. Capobianco pinned Williams Valley's Zack Ulsh in less than a minute in his only match last week. Farber moves from 138 pounds to 132 in this week's rankings after going competing exclusively at 132 last week. Farber went 0-3 a week ago, losing all matches by close decisions. Ringler went 2-1 in last week's matches, picking a tech. fall over Notre Dame Green Pond's Preston Weidner and earning a forfeit in Palmerton's match against Northwestern. Ringler's loss came to Catasauqua's Jacob Rusnock, who is 16-3 this season.138 - 1.Hunter Davidyock, Panther Valley, Jr. (10-10); 2. Josh Gornick, Lehighton, Jr. (11-9).Notes - Gornick joins the rankings this week after going 5-2 a week ago. The junior's two losses came to opponents that have a combined record of 29-4 this season. Davidyock lost his only match last week, dropping a 9-7 decision to Tri-Valley's Chase Schaeffer, who is 12-5 this season. Davidyock earned a 7-3 decision victory over Gornick at the Anthracite Duals.145 - 1. Josh Evans, Palmerton, Sr. (17-1); 2. Antonio Madera, Jim Thorpe, Fr. (9-6); 3. Anthony Farano, Lehighton, Sr. (10-10).Honorable Mention - Cole Moyer, Northwestern, So.Notes - Evans moves to the number one spot at 145 pounds after going 3-0 at the weight last week in dominant fashion. The senior picked up two wins by fall and the other my major decision. Madera won his only bout by forfeit in Jim Thorpe's match with Willaims Valley last week. Farano slipped a little bit last week, going 2-5 for the Indians. Moyer did not wrestle for Northwestern last week.152 - 1. Zack Christman, Palmerton, Jr. (16-3); 2. Garrett Gouger, Pleasant Valley, So. (11-7); 3. Conrad Young, Northern Lehigh, So. (8-7).Honorable Mention - Zach Turner, Panther Valley, Jr. (6-5).Notes - Christman continued his strong start to the season, going 3-0 in last week's matches. The junior picked up two wins by fall and one by major decision. Gouger won his only bout a week ago, picking up a major decision over Pocono Mountain West's Joseph Parrotta. Young joins the rankings this week after going 3-0 a week ago, picking up two wins by fall and one by way of decision. Turner won his only match last week, pinning Tri-Valley's Jacob Kroh at 160 pounds. The match was Turner's first at the weight this season.160 - 1. Zachary Graver, Palmerton, Jr. (12-0); 2. Nathan Farber, Northern Lehigh, Jr. (11-5); 3. Tyler Cann, Lehighton, So. (17-5).Notes - Graver takes over the top spot at 160 pounds this week after going 3-0 a week ago, 2-0 at 160. One of Graver's victories was a forfeit, the other a convincing 11-5 decision over Catasauqua's Nathan Doria. Farber moves to the number two spot with Graver's arrival. The junior 3-0 last week, picking up a decision and two major decision victories. But the real story out of the three might be Cann's performance last week, as the sophomore went 7-0 in fairly dominant fashion. Cann picked up four wins by fall, with three coming in the first round. Cann's three decision victories came by scores of 9-7, 4-3 and 9-4, respectively, proving he can also win close matches when necessary.170 - 1. Brody Keefe, Pleasant Valley, So. (11-6); 2. Matt Buss, Panther Valley, Jr. (10-7); 3. Austin Arnold, Northern Lehigh, Jr. (8-8).Notes - Keefe takes over the top spot with Graver moving to 160 pounds. The sophomore lost a 3-2 decision in his only match last week to Pocono Mountain West's Elias Borrero , who is 10-5 this season. Buss picked up a win via forfeit in his only match last week in Panther Valley's contest against Tri-Valley. Arnold went 1-2 last week. The sophomore went 1-1 at 182 pounds and 0-1 at 170.182 - 1. Connor Frey, Lehighton, So. (18-4); 2. Kyle Oliphant, Tamaqua, So. (12-5); 3. Dylan Moyer, Panther Valley, So. (12-8).Honorable Mention - Jared Mooney, Palmerton, Fr. (8-5).Notes - Frey retains the number one spot after going 6-1 last week, including 4-1 at the Indian Duals. Frey picked up four wins by fall, all coming in the first round. The sophomore also notched a convincing 11-1 major decision over Springfield's Joe Sciarrino. Frey dropped a 5-3 decision to Pine Grove's Guy Zimmerman, who is 23-1 this season. Frey also owns a pin over Dylan Moyer this season. Oliphant had mixed results at the Warrior Invitational on Saturday, going 1-2. The sophomore's two losses came to opponents with a combined record of 10-6 this season. Moyer picked up a win via forfeit in his only match last week in Panther Valley's contest against Tri-Valley. Mooney went 0-3 last week, 0-1 at 170 pounds and 0-2 at 182.195 - 1. Richard Nase, Panther Valley, Sr. (12-1); 2. Mathew Wolfe, Palmerton, Jr. (10-5).Notes - Nase retains the top spot after going 1-0 last week, picking up a major decision victory over Tri-Valley's Mason White. Wolfe joins Nase at 195 after going 3-0 last week. Wolfe picked up an overtime victory at 182 against Catasauqua's Tyler Trobetsky along with a victory by fall over Notre Dame Green Pond's Elijah Lyons, which came at 195 pounds.220 - 1. Rian Shubeck, Panther Valley, Jr. (14-3); 2. Nicholas Ammitato, Pleasant Valley, Jr. (4-3); 3. Stephen Scheib, Northern Lehigh, Jr. (6-6).Notes - Shubeck remains number one after winning his only match last week. The junior picked up a victory by fall in just less than a minute against Tri-Valley's Devin Schwaim at 285 pounds. A real test for Shubeck will come this week when he faces a potential matchup with Pine Grove's Ryan Martin at 220 pounds. Shubeck is ranked 9th in the state at 220, while Martin is ranked 8th. Ammirato lost his only match last week, getting pinned by Pocono Mountain West's Mario LaMonica, who is 8-6 this season. Scheib joins this rankings this week after going 2-1 last week, picking up victories by fall and decision.285 - 1. Ahmad Curtis, Pleasant Valley, Jr. (6-1); 2. Alex Raub, Palmerton, Sr. (8-5); 3. Cameron Kates, Northern Lehigh, So. (11-8).Honorable Mention - Lukas Mika, Panther Valley, Jr. (8-6).Notes - Curtis enters the fray after going 1-0 last week, picking up a 5-0 decision victory over Pocono Mountain West's David Masznik, who is 9-5 this season. Curtis' only loss this season came at the hands of Pen Argyl's Brady Mutton, who is 18-0 this year. Kates drops to third from first after going 1-2 last week, with his only win coming via forfeit. Raub went 2-1 a week ago, picking up victories by way of forfeit and fall. Raub's loss came to Catasauqua's Jared Nosal, who is 13-4 this season.
