A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred about 12:15 a.m., on Sunday, Jan. 12, along SR61, between Seven Stars and Mount Carbon roads, in North Manheim Township.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Eric Alfred Neidlinger, 37, of Pottsville, was stopped operating a Dodge Grand Caravan northbound for a traffic violation. Neidlinger was found to be under the influence of alcohol and failed field sobriety tests.He was then transported to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, for a blood test.The DUI charge is pending the test results, troopers said.
