January 10, 2004 Panther Valley's Nick Kopp is the only TIMES NEWS area wrestler to earn a gold medal at the annual Schuylkill League tournament. Kopp, at 135 pounds, easily gains his title by claiming an 11-2 major decision over previously-undefeated Mark Edwards of North Schuylkill. The Panthers' Nick Lorah (103) and Tamaqua's Andy Snyder (125) also reach the championship round but have to settle for second-place finishes.
