Monroe crashes

State police at Fern Ridge reported on two crashes probed by troopers on Monroe County roads.

A one vehicle crash occurred about 4:44 a.m. on Dec. 30 along Route 209 near Hickory Lane, in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said Diane M. Campbell, 53, of Saylorsburg, was driving a 2002 Jeep Liberty northbound when she failed to negotiate a left curve in the road and traveled onto the berm where the vehicle struck a utility pole.Campbell suffered a minor injury and was taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, by West End ambulance. The road was closed for about two hours. West End Fire Company volunteers assisted at the scene.Campbell was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.A crash was reported at 3:55 a.m. on Jan. 1 along Golden Slipper Road, at the intersection with Mable Road, in Jackson Township. Troopers said Francis V. Ranaudo, 28, of Effort, was eastbound and negotiating a left curve in a 2011 Toyota Camry when he went off the right side and struck a tree with the front end.Ranaudo was not injured and damages were termed minor to the vehicle.
