Police probe tool thefts

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating two burglaries that occurred in Frailey Township, Schuylkill County, both on the same dates.

Richard Dinger, 71, of 222 E. Spring St., reported his workshop area, which is located behind his home, was entered sometime between 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7, and 8 a.m. on Wednesday. Removed from the shop was an impact wrench and battery drill, a heavy duty Milwaukee reciprocal saw, a Craftsman's three-eighth impact drill, and a half-inch drill. The items have a total value of $800.The second entry occurred 3 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday at the Kintzel Portable Welding property at 20 Main St. A garage was entered and removed was a Lincoln aluminum spool gun, hypo-thermo maximum plasma cutter, a Evolution magnetic drill, three-fourths drive socket set, a wrench set, a Central Pneumatic spray gun, and a rechargeable light, for a total value of $5,000.Anyone with information concerning these incidents is asked to call troopers at 570-739-1330.
