Schuylkill County businesses cited
Four Schuylkill County businesses have been cited by the Allentown enforcement office of the state liquor control board for violation of the state liquor code.
Kory B. Bates Sr., trading as Chantilly's Restaurant, 15 Berkley Road, Barnesville, Ryan Township, was cited for failure to have its board-approved manager complete RAMP training within 180 days of the board's approval of the appointment. The violation occurred during the period of Aug. 28 to Oct. 2, 2013.McNiff's Irish Pub Inc., trading as McNiff's Irish Pub, 30 W. Center St., Mahanoy City, was cited for used, or permitted to be used on the inside of the licensed premises, a loudspeaker or similar device whereby the sound of music or other entertainment, or the advertisement thereof, could be heard beyond the licensee's property line. The violation occurred on Sept. 21 and 22, 2013.Country Squire Restaurant & Motel Inc., 300 SR61, in North Manheim Township, was cited for failure to comply with the order of the administrative law judge who mandated responsible alcohol management training. Also, failed to maintain complete and truthful records covering the operation of the licensed business for a period of two years immediately preceding Sept. 11, 2013.Wes Paul LLC, trading as Longboards, aka, Toom's Pub, 204-206 Peacock St., Pottsville, was cited for failure to notify the liquor board within 15 days of a change of manager. Also cited for licensed corporation was not the only one pecuniarily interested in the operation of the licensed premises. The violations occurred on various dates.These charges will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses, and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation based on the severity of the charge brought.
