An icy patch of road was the cause of a one-vehicle crash in Schuylkill County on Tuesday, Jan. 7.

State police at Frackville said Kellie M. Laine, 43, of Mahanoy City, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Aveo eastbound on Barnesville Drive (SR54) in Ryan Township, about 11:40 a.m. when she encountered an icy patch on the road.She lost control of the vehicle, which left the road and struck the front porch at 1105 Barnesville Drive.Laine and her two passengers, two 17-year-old juveniles, a male and female, were all not injured. Troopers said Laine was cited for the crash.
