Driver's blood sugar blamed for crash

State police at the Lehighton barracks said a Saylorsburg man was injured in a one-car crash that was happened the man's blood sugar was too low when he was driving.

The accident happened at 9:21 a.m. Dec. 6 on Meixell Valley Road in Ross Township.Police said Kenneth W. Strohl, 52, was driving a 2013 Honda Civic eastbound when he lost control of the vehicle due to his blood sugar being low. Police said the car left the roadway on the south berm and struck a tree, coming to rest facing northeast in the grass off the south berm. The vehicle sustained front end damages and was towed from the scene.Police said Strohl was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for treatment of injuries.
