Driver fatigue blamed for crash

State police at the Lehighton barracks said driver fatigue contributed to a one-vehicle crash at 4:10 p.m. Dec. 10 on Route 534 in Polk Township.

Police said Tania Bonilla, 27, of Albrightsville, sustained a minor injury in the crash.She was driving a 2005 Saturn Ion westbound on Route 534 when she lost control due to what police said was "being fatigued." The vehicle traveled off the south side of the road, proceeded about 60 feet and struck a barn located about 15 feet south of the roadway.Police said she sustained a minor leg injury.The vehicle received disabling damages and was towed from the scene.Bonilla will be cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.Police were assisted at the scene by the West End Ambulance and Polk Township Fire Company.
