Police investigate thefts

State police at Lehighton reported on the following theft and related incidents investigated by troopers.

• Dennis L. Hale, 33, of 1627 Sugar Lane, Kunkletown, Polk Township, Monroe County, reported his vehicle was entered at his home and a knapsack type bag was removed. The bag contained assorted paperwork and a Magellan GPS unit valued at $300. The incident occurred sometime between 7 and 10 p.m. on Dec. 6.• James Thomas Rossiter Jr., 372 Beltzville Drive, Polk Township, reported a battery was removed from a John Deere riding mower at his residence sometime between Dec. 7 and 14.• Kenyon Leewright, 62, of 8633 Lincoln Green Drive, Kunkletown, Polk Township, reported someone removed two lighted deer Christmas decorations from his property. The incident was reported at 10:03 p.m. on Dec. 7.• Tonya Kemmerer, 29, of 747 Pine St., Bowmanstown, Carbon County, reported a pink Nintendo DSi XL game system, an Apple iPod Touch 8GB, and a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 seven-inch tablet were removed from her residence. The incident was reported at 8 a.m. on Dec. 8.• Daralynn L. Asbury, 50, of 3221 Cherry Road, Kunkletown, Polk Township, reported a Bersa Thunder 380 .38-caliber handgun was removed from her night stand. The incident occurred sometime between Dec. 20 and 25, troopers said.• Bonnie Lee Trapp, 69, of 637 Golden Eagle Drive, Saylorsburg, Ross Township, Monroe County, reported someone took a gray parcel bag of women's clothes from the mailbox area of her home. The items are worth $60. The incident was reported at noon on Dec. 11.• Roy Strohl, Summer Mountain Road, Palmerton, Towamensing Township, reported his vehicle was entered and a Nook e-reader removed. The incident occurred overtime of Dec. 13 and 14.• Donald Smith, 35, of 148 Lobach Lane, Kunkletown, Eldred Township, reported someone entered his residence using a key and removed two flat screen televisions, Sanyo 55-inch and a Emerson 40-inch, and a Xbox 360 game console. The incident occurred sometime between 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 20 and 4 a.m. on Dec. 21.• Michael A. Cardone, 60, of 105 Homestead Lane, Palmerton, Towamensing Township, reported someone removed a Lionel standard gauge trains and train rack from his residence. The incident was reported at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 22.• David John Kibler, 33, of 485 Little Gap Road, Palmerton, Lower Towamensing Township, reported someone removed a large snow-globe light up decoration from his property, valued at $50.
