A bulldozer removes small trees along Route 209 in Jim Thorpe, part of the beginning of the construction of the new Route 903 bridge that will span the Lehigh River. The $28 million project replaces the existing, two-lane, 62-year-old span 940 feet downstream. The work is being done by Allan A. Myers of Worcester and is expected to be completed in July of 2017.
