A woman was injured and two vehicles damaged in an accident at 12:04 p.m. Dec. 23 at the intersection of Weir Lake Road and Veronica Lane in Chestnuthill Township.

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks said Barbara Dowling, 72, of Saylorsburg, a passenger in one of the vehicles, was injured, although the severity of her injuries were not known.The accident happened when a 2007 Chevrolet Impala driven by Raymond Dowling, 82, of Saylorsburg, in which Barbara was a passenger, pulled from the receiving lane behind Kinsley's ShopRite store after stopping at a properly posted stop sign. The vehicle traveled across Weir lake Road into Victoria Lane, where it struck the passenger side of a 1989 Ford Club Wagon driven by Alan S. Kozlowski, 49, of Effort.Police said both vehicles were towed from the scene.
