No one was injured in an accident that happened at 3:50 p.m. Dec, 24 on Interstate 81 in Kline Township, according to state police at the Frackville barracks.

Police said Gabrielle Burke, 21, of Mahanoy City, was driving a 1999 Saturn northbound in the left lane when she lost control of the vehicle on the icy roadway. The vehicle struck the driver's side of a 2009 Volvo tractor trailer driven by Alex Dradaytsev of Quebec, Canada, after which time both vehicles came to final rest blocking the right northbound lane.Police said Burke will be cited for causing the accident. The Saturn was towed from the scene.Polce were assisted by the McAdoo and Delano fire departments and the McAdoo EMS unit.
