An 85-year-old woman from Falls Church, Va., was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 2:37 p.m. Dec. 23 on Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township.

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks said Lillian Cabarle, a passenger in one of the vehicles, sustained minor injuries and was transported by West End Ambulance to the Pocono medical Center, East Stroudsburg.Police said the accident happened when a 1997 Subaru Legacy driven by Bruce J. Cabarle, 54, also of Falls Church, in which Lillian was the passenger, slowed down for a vehicle that had stopped in front of it. At that time, a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Sport driven by Travis M. Miller, 33, of Saylorsburg, failed to stop in time and struck the rear of the Legacy.
