A York man was injured in a crash at 5:35 p.m. Dec. 20 on Interstate 81 in Kline Township.

State police at the Frackville barracks said Edward M. Murphy, 21, had moderate injuries.Police said he was driving a 1999 BMW southbound when a rooftop cargo carrier flew off a vehicle in front of his, causing him to swerve to miss it. The vehicle traveled into the median, struck an embankment and rolled onto its roof.The vehicle from which the carrier came loose was a 2003 Dodge Caravan driven by Joelle C. Arnold, 36, of Kingston. She will be cited for causing the crash, police said.The BMW was towed from the scene.
