Tamaqua Police have cited Shannon Fredericks, 33 of West Spruce Street, Tamaqua, in connection with an incident at the Family Dollar Store on Wednesday.

Officers were dispatched to the retailer on Railroad Street at 4:15 p.m. for a shoplifting incident. On scene, they learned that Fredericks attempted to steal five Flipeez hats, valued at $79.50.She was charged with misdemeanor retail theft as this was her second offense.
