Woman involved in robbery nets probation

Carbon County Judge Joseph Matika on Monday sentenced a young woman who was involved in the Aug. 28 robbery of a convenience store to a year on probation and 50 hours of community service work.

Alyssa M. Gryzik, 19, of Lansford Court, Summit Hill, must also pay the Turkey Hill Minit Mart $66.80 restitution and pay court costs and fees. She had admitted to conspiracy to commit robbery.She, along with Ray Ziegenfuss III, Nicole Christman, John A. Simonson and Scott Heffelfinger conspired to rob the store. It was Heffelfinger and Simonson who entered the store, where Heffelfinger pulled a knife on the clerk and demanded the bank bag, which contained about $150. Later, the five divvied up the money. They were soon arrested.Also on Monday, Matika imposed sentences, including court costs and fees, on the following people:Cindy L. Clymer, 54, of Lansford: Retail theft One year probation; 50 hours of community service.Marygrace Conarty, 31, of Albrightsville: Retail theft One year of probation; 50 hours of community service; pay $97.25 restitution to Wal-Mart.Stephanie T. Dakis, 28, of Freeland, Luzerne County: Driving under the influence License suspended for 60 days; 50 hours of community service.Vincent Dispenziere, 22, of Middlesex, New Jersey: Possession of marijuana 25 hours of community service and six months in the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program.Alexis M. Goldberg, 23, of Lansford: Retail theft One year probation; 50 hours of community service; barred from Boyer's Market.Emily Hoehne, 23, of Summit Hill: Driving under the influence One year in ARD; license suspended for 60 days.Matthew Lasky, 19, of Summit Hill: Possession of a small amount of marijuana Six months in ARD; 25 hours of community service.Gregory Macalush, 22, of Lansford: Used access device issued to another person and defiant trespass 18 months probation; 75 hours of community service.Alexander Modawar, 33, of Tamaqua: Retail theft three years probation; 100 hours of community service; provide DNA sample; barred from Radio Shack.April Reznick, 33, of Tamaqua: Theft One year in ARD; 50 hours of community service; $126.37 in restitution; barred from Friendly Food Market.Ruben Rolon, 23, of Coaldale: Burglary One year probation; undergo anger management course; no contact with victim.Robert J. Staub, 58, of Kunkletown: DUI License suspended for 60 days; one year in ARD; 50 hours community service.Lauren Stedman, 22, of Garnet Valley: DUI License suspended for 60 days; one year in ARD; 50 hours community service.Jimmy R.
