State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks are investigating a theft incident that happened when a woman forgot to take her wallet out of a shopping cart.

The incident happened at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 17 at the Dollar Tree store in the Fairlane Village Mall, Norwegian Township.The victim, Carolyn Archer, 74, of Pine Grove, told police she placed the wallet in the cart outside of the store and then entered the store. When she went out to get the wallet she discovered someone had taken it and removed the money that was inside it.
