State police at the Fern Ridge barracks are investigating a theft by unlawful taking or disposition case in which copper piping was stolen from the basement of a residence in Chestnuthill Township.

The incident happened between 2 p.m. Oct. 25 and 3 p.m. Nov. 19 at 1247 Overlook Court in the township. The victim is Fannie Mae of Dallas, Texas.Police said several feet of copper were taken. Police said the actor may be a white male with dark hair and a full beard and may have been driving a white box truck or a purple SUV.
