State police at the Fern Ridge barracks are investigating an access device fraud incident in which an Albrightsville man is the victim

Police said Joseph M. Chiarello, 45, of 46 Shawnee Trail, Indian Mountain Lakes, Penn Forest Township, applied for a $1,000 loan from an unknown company over the telephone, at which time he was asked for a $110 application fee to be prepaid via a credit card. Police said after the unknown actor(s) received the fee, they hung up the telephone and were unable to be contacted.The incident happened at noon Dec. 12.
