Holiday open house postponed to Tuesday

The TIMES NEWS is postponing its holiday open house to Tuesday evening at the company's printing office located at 594 Blakeslee Boulevard Drive West, Lehighton. The open house, originally scheduled for Saturday, has been postponed to 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, because of expected inclement weather.

Santa, the guest of honor at the open house, said he realizes that not everyone can get through snow and ice the way his reindeer can. So Santa rearranged his schedule at Toyland to be here at the Times News Tuesday evening. The event will provide an opportunity to meet some of our local staff and see the place where the news is printed.Activities include holiday music, face painting, door prize giveaways, and pictures with Santa. Children should bring their wish lists and parents can bring their cameras to take photos of children with Santa. The TIMES NEWS will also take photos with Santa to be put on our website,

www.tnonline.com.Everything is free, but we're asking for each family to donate two or more nonperishable food items that will be taken to help stock the shelves at local food pantries. With community involvement that can be traced back about 130 years the Times News is dedicated to news that matters to you."In a season that focuses on togetherness and giving back we felt that this would be a great event that would be both fun for the kids that are in attendance and beneficial to those less fortunate in our area," said Marissa Hartas, public relations coordinator for the TIMES NEWS.
