Preschool story hourThe Panther Valley Public Library, 117 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, offers a free, preschool story hour from 9:30-10:30 a.m. every Tuesday.Stories, snacks and activities are provided for the children.Summit HillAmerican Legion Post 316, Summit Hill, will hold its traditional Children's Christmas Party on Saturday at the post home on Lehigh Street, Summit Hill. Commander W. Kevin O'Donnell said the Post is busy making arrangements for Santa Claus to arrive at the home and greet the children that day at 1 p.m.The doors will open at noon, after which time the children and their families will be treated to a luncheon, followed by Santa presenting a stocking to each of the youths.All children of the community are welcome to attend.St. Paul LutheranSt. Paul's Lutheran Church, 123 W. White St., Summit Hill announces the following schedule.Dec. 15: Worship service will be held at 10:30 a.m. with Vicar David Lembo presiding. Everyone is welcome. Rehearsal for the Sunday school program will be held at 9 a.m.Dec. 21: The Sunday school will have program rehearsal and a Christmas party beginning at 10 a.m. Parents are asked to please note the change in time. Donations of drinks or snacks are sincerely appreciated.
