A Schuylkill County man is facing charges following an incident that occurred about 9 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 9, in the area of 223 Main St., Mount Carbon borough.

State police at Schuylkill Haven alleges that Scott A. Dietrich, 42, of Pottsville, attempted to strike his son, a 17-year-old, with his van after engaging in a verbal argument.Troopers said charges of criminal attempt-aggravated assault, and endangering the welfare of children, are pending against Dietrich.
