A Schuylkill County driver escaped injury in a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8, along Brick Hill Road, at the intersection with Tall Oaks Road, in West Brunswick Township.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Robert Butcavage, of Orwigsburg, was driving a 2009 Pontiac Vibe on Brick Hill Road when he entered a left curve in the road. He lost control of the vehicle and struck a stop sign along the side of the road at the intersection. The vehicle continued to travel into a grassy area and came to rest into a patch of shrubbery along the side of Tall Oaks Road.The vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
