Arrests reported

State police at Fern Ridge reported on the following arrests made by troopers.

Troopers said Randy Stevens, 21, of East Stroudsburg, and Trent Sterling, 18, of Bangor, were cited for retail theft for an incident on Nov. 29 about 10:20 p.m. at the ShopRite store, at 107 Kinsley Drive, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County. Troopers said the two took about $29.97 worth of merchandise from the store without paying for it.Troopers said a traffic stop led to drug counts against two New York state residents.The stop occurred about 2:07 p.m. on Nov. 28 along Interstate 80 in Tobyhanna Township, Monroe County. Christopher William Kitley, 28, of Port Washington, was stopped for speeding. During the stop troopers could smell the strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. As a result of an investigation Kitley was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, in addition to a speeding charge.His passenger, Marcus Diaz, 20, of Manhasset, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.On Nov. 30 about noon troopers said Stephen W. Bates, 24, of Blakeslee, sent numerous unwanted text messages to a 25-year-old female residing in Towamensing Trails, Carbon County. He was cited for harassment.Troopers reported investigating an incident at 304 Stoney Brook Drive, in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said James F. Lindsey III, 21, of Saylorsburg, threw a cell phone at a 17-year-old female from Saylorsburg, striking her in the face. He then kicked the car of Diana M. Partridge, 36, of Saylorsburg, twice causing damages.Lindsey was charged with criminal mischief and harassment, troopers said.
