A vehicle left a Monroe County road and landed in a creek. State police at Fern Ridge said the crash occurred about 6:10 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 1, along Evergreen Hollow Road in Chestnuthill Township.

Troopers said Scott M. Maier, 20, of Effort, was driving a 1997 Toyota Corolla northbound when the vehicle left the road and struck the guide rail. This caused the Toyota to overturn and land in a nearby creek, troopers said.Maier sustained a minor injury and was treated at the scene by West End ambulance personnel.
