A Tamaqua driver was injured in a one vehicle crash that occurred about 9 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21, along Brook Lane, in Walker Township, just outside Tamaqua.

State police at Frackville said Brandon D. Fogel, 19, was driving a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse westbound when he swerved to avoid a large piece of wood lying on the roadway causing him to lose control.The car left the road on the right side while spinning colckwise continuing westbound. The car traveled about 120-feet before going through a small stream. It continued for 15 feet more before coming to rest facing east.Fogel was taken by a family member to St. Luke's Hospital, Coadale, troopers said. The car had to be towed from the scene.
