Scouts particpate in food drive

The annual Boy Scout Scouting for Food event took place in Jim Thorpe on Nov. 9. Cub Scouts from Pack 138 collected the food for the food pantries at St. Joseph's Church and Christ Lutheran Church. The Boy Scouts from Troop 555 helped weigh and count the food. Together, the churches collected over 3,000 items of food, as well as over 4,000 pounds of food. A total of 15 Boy Scouts, 36 Cub Scouts, and a combined total of 55 parents and siblings helped participate.
