Skills USA 5K results

Michael Blacketter, age 14, and Nicole Carroll, age 9, were the overall male and female winners in the Skills USA "Leaving an Impression for our Future" 5K Run/Walk, this past Saturday.

Over 30 participants took on the 3.1 mile course nestled between the mountains at the Lehigh Gorge State Park in Jim Thorpe.The race benefited high school students involved in Carbon County Skills USA, an organization designed to encourage leadership and technical talent.The event was followed by an awards ceremony and a raffle with prizes.The results for the race were as follows:Overall - Male: Michael Blacketter (18:26); Female, Nicole Carroll (24:35).Overall - Male: 2.
