Bears enterning a roadway was the cause of a crash in Schuylkill County.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Elyssa F. Ellinger, 22, of Tower City, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier eastbound on SR209 in Porter Township, about 6:19 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, when two small bears entered the road.Ellinger's vehicle struck one of the bears with its front middle bumper. Damages were moderate to the car, which had to be towed from the scnee, but Ellinger was not injured.
