November 14, 1987 Panther Valley uses two first-quarter touchdowns from its offense and five turnovers from its defense to gain a 14-12 win over Tri-Valley. The Panthers, coached by Joe Leonzi, get on the board when Erik Pecha tosses a six-yard scoring strike to Ted Shober. Later in the period Cory Sheridan, who finishes with 79 yards on 17 carries, reaches the end zone on a two-yard run. Jack Ruzicka's interception, one of four PV had in the contest, sets up the Sheridan tally.
