November 12, 1966 - Jim Thorpe High School completed its first undefeated football season since the fall sport was revived in 1955, by blanking Slatington 19-0. It was the eighth straight triumph for Coach Angie Konstas' Olympians. Paul Scrimkovsky scored touchdowns on runs of 89 and 3 yards and also scored the team's lone conversion on a run. He finished the game gaining 202 yards on 20 carries. Richard Kelowitz scored the other Jim Thorpe TD on a 18-yard pass from Steve Susko.
