Nesquehoning police said an owl flew into the path of a 2012 Ford Econoline van as it was traveling south on Route 93 (the Broad Mountain) on Nov. 7.

Police said Daniel Powell, Merchantville, N.J., was traveling about 55 mph in the area of the rifle range, when the owl flew into the windshield of the van, causing it to crash.Police said the vehicle sustained moderate damages and was towed from the scene. Powell was uninjured
