Lehighton teen raises funds for Dyan and Gavin's Rainbow fund

Tori Kunkle, daughter of Chris and Deb Kunkle of Lehighton, presented two separate checks of $834 each, to Dave and Lora Krum, that will fund Dylan and Gavin's Rainbow and the Dylan and Gavin Scholarship Fund.

Tori, a classmate of Dylan, put together a Chinese auction that had more than 70 prizes, as part of her senior project.Tori is a junior at Lehighton Area High School."We're hoping to see this event continue," Tori's mom said. "Tori really worked hard to see this all come together and we would love to see it continue as an annual event."Dylan and Gavin were the Krum's two sons who both passed away. Dylan passed on July 15, 2010 and Gavin passed on Nov. 27, 2012.Dylan and Gavin's Rainbow is an outreach intended to help families who are experiencing a serious illness of a child or loss of a child. A scholarship in Dylan's and Gavin's names will be presented at academic awards program."This means so much to us," Lora Krum said. "Thank you Tori for your support of the scholarship and Dylan's and Gavin's Rainbow."
