Monroe County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to the arrest of a theft-robbery that took place on Friday, Nov. 1 in Monroe County. Swiftwater police responded to Turkey Hill on Winona Falls Road.
The victim, William Stephen Maykish was traveling west on Winona Falls Road with his wife, Vanessa Lynne Maykish, and his daughter, when they witnessed a white male in the roadway trying to stop passing vehicles.Thinking that the male needed assistance, Maykish pulled his car behind the suspect's vehicle. The suspect then started to walk toward the Maykish vehicle. When he reached it, Maykish opened the driver side door to get out. The suspect pulled a black semiautomatic pistol and pushed it against Maykish's left ribs/midsection. The suspect demanded all the victim's money and valuables, to which Maykish complied.The suspect fled the scene traveling west on Winona Falls Road with $450 in cash and an unknown amount of oxycodone medication. The vehicle was a black pickup truck with oversized tires, covered in mud and missing a tailgate. The male was approximately 25-30 years old, about 6 feet, 1 inch tall and about 180 pounds. He had a fair complexion with short dirty blonde hair. He was wearing dark blue jeans and a black hooded sweat shirt.Anyone with information, should contact MCCS at 1-866-370-1518.
