State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating the theft of logs from a Schuylkill County site.

Troopers said unknown criminals removed 40-50, 12-foot-long oak, maple, and ash saw logs from 458 Hinkle Road, in Barry Township. The logs are the property of Walter Lindermuth Lumber and Supply, Ashland. The value of the logs was estimated at $1,000.The theft occurred sometime between 8 p.m. on Oct. 29 and 6 a.m. on Oct. 30.
