One injured in Schuylkill collision

One driver was injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred about 11:40 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3, at the intersection of SR209 and Wood Street, in the village of Cumbola, Blythe Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Debra Moyer, 46, of Orwigsburg, was stopped while northbound at a stop sign on Wood Street while Ronald Bornmann, 76, of Reading, was eastbound on 209. Troopers said Moyer proceeded to enter the intersection and pulled directly into the path of Bornmann.The front of Bornmann's 2012 Honda CRV struck the driver's side front of Moyer's 2003 Chevrolet Blazer. Moyer was injured and taken to a Pottsville hospital. Bornmann was not injured.Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene. Troopers were assisted by volunteers from the Cumbola Fire Company.
