In an effort to connect veterans with the services made available to them by the Commonwealth, and to thank those men and women for their service, state Rep. Doyle Heffley (R-Carbon) has announced plans for his 2013 Veterans Expo.

"This expo is the least we can do to thank these folks for the service," Heffley said. "With the celebration of Veterans Day in November, this is the perfect time of the year for this event."The expo will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 26, at the American Legion, 314 Veterans Avenue, Lehighton. Heffley plans to honor World War II veterans as part of the expo.Any veterans who wish to participate are asked to call his office at 610-377-6363."These men and women are a valuable resource and I want to make sure we do as much as we can to honor them," Heffley said.
