Letter to the Editor:

My heart breaks for the pain associated with the tragedy and loss of Officer Midas.I would, however, like to let the friends and family know how important Dave Midas is to our community here at Lansford Townhouses.Dave willingly gave the Lansford Townhouses' children his time while he taught them important safety instructions. Dave taught our children the meaning of respecting the uniformed officers, this is something that I strive for at Lansford Townhouses every day. It is a wonderful opportunity to have an officer of the law interact with the children in such positive ways.Dave was one of the officers I knew we could count on to educate our young children while showing them that a uniformed officer is a really good person. We will always remember the greatness related to Dave Midas.I am sending positive thoughts and hugs to the Midas and Ondrus families. Officer Ondrus is another friend of our Lansford Townhouses' tenants.
