Criminal charges were filed against Jason Bender, 26, of 933 W. Edgemont Ave., Palmerton, for DUI, registration and certificate of title required, driving under suspension, required financial responsibility, lighted lamp requirements for motorcycles, and two counts of general lighting requirements. The incident occurred on Sept. 1 at 8:14 p.m. in the 1100 block of Mauch Chunk Road. Bender was also cited for harassment as part of a separate incident that occurred on Oct. 16 at 7:58 p.m. in the 800 block of Edgemont Avenue.HarassmentMatthew Petko, 38, of 939 Mauch Chunk Road, Palmerton, was cited for harassment. The violations occurred on Oct. 22 at 9:05 a.m. in the 900 block of Mauch Chunk Road.Traffic violationShannon Bierman, 30, of 255 Fireline Road, Bowmanstown, was cited for stop signs and yield signs. The violation occurred Oct. 24 at 7:30 p.m. at Mauch Chunk Road and Franklin Avenue.A citation was issued to Maybeth Gage, 29, of 1203 W. Turner St., Apt. 2, Allentown, for obedience to traffic control device. The violation occurred on Oct. 19 at 6:50 p.m.Alyssa Gruber, 23, of 154 Third St., Coaldale, was cited for obedience to traffic control device. The violation occurred on Oct. 20 at 6:28 p.m. at Third Street and Lehigh Avenue.
