District 11 recently announced their playoff schedule and participants for field hockey, girls soccer, and boys soccer. Several TIMES NEWS area teams have qualified, so let's take a look at who's in and when they will be competing.

Field HockeyThree TIMES NEWS area teams qualified for postseason play Pleasant Valley, Northern Lehigh and Lehighton.In AAA, No. 7 seed Pleasant Valley will be hosting No. 10 seed Bangor in an opening round game on Wednesday at 4 p.m.The quarterfinal round will take place on Saturday, Oct. 26; the semifinals will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 30 and the championship on Nov. 2.In AA, Northern Lehigh is the No. 1 seed and have a bye into the semifinals.The Bulldogs will face the winner of Thursday's quarterfinal round game between No. 5 seed Lehighton and No. 4 seed Pen Argyl. That game will be played at Pen Argyl at 4 p.m.Semifinals will take place on Oct. 29 and championship game is Thursday, Oct. 31.BOYS SOCCERFour area teams qualified for the boys soccer tournament Pleasant Valley, Lehighton, Jim Thorpe and Northwestern.In AAA, No. 3 seed Pleasant Valley will face the winner of the Pocono Mtn. East/Allen opening round game. The Bears' quarterfinal round game will take place on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Pleasant Valley.The semifinals are set to take place on Tuesday, Oct. 29 and championship game on Oct. 31.In AA, No. 7 seed Lehighton will host No. 10 seed Jim Thorpe on Tuesday at 4 p.m. in a qualifying round game. No. 1 seed Northwestern will play a quarterfinal round game against the winner of the Notre Dame GP and Pine Grove match-up. That game will take place on Thursday.Semis will be on Tuesday, Oct. 29 and the championship game on Oct. 31.GIRLS SOCCERThree area teams are part of the District 11 girls soccer tournament.In AAA, No. 3 seed Pleasant Valley will face the winner of the Pocono Mountain West and Northampton contest in the quarterfinal round. That game will take place on Thursday.Semis will be on Oct. 29 and the championship on Oct. 31.In AA, No. 11 seed Jim Thorpe will take on No 6 seed Moravian in the opening round on Wednesday.No. 1 seed Northwestern will face the winner of Notre Dame GP/Notre Dame ES in a quarterfinal round game on Friday.Semifinals will be on Oct. 29 and the championship on Oct. 31.
