Community members and friends came together Saturday at the West Penn Fire Company to hold a benefit in support of the family members of the late Jacob T. "Jakey" Troxell, 15, of Andreas, and Daniel "Danny" I. Miller, 21, of South Tamaqua. Both Miller, driver, and Troxell, passenger, were killed after their pickup truck struck multiple trees on Aug. 22 in Berks County. The crash occurred along SR143 just north of Bailey Road. After impact the truck began to spin counter-clockwise and came to rest facing southbound and off the road. After that the truck became engulfed in flames.
