Two people are facing charges following a Sept. 21 incident in Rush Township.

Township police said Cody E. Pehala, 20, of Drums, was operating a motor vehicle on Claremont Avenue at 2:03 a.m. and was stopped. Pehala exhibited signs of intoxication and was transported to Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., in Pottsville, for blood work. Officers also discovered a small amount of marijuana and a scale in the vehicle.Test results indicate a blood-alcohol content of .052 percent. Pehala will be charged with driving under the influence, underage drinking, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.A passenger in the vehicle, Colten Potkey, 20, of Drums will be charged with underage drinking.
